FAQ

Our Response to COVID-19

During the Coronavirus outbreak, the wellbeing of our guests, owners, staff, and community is our top priority. We have made changes to our daily operating procedures and policies in order to meet or exceed guidelines issued by the CDC. Some of the steps we have taken include:

  • We are offering a ”Contact-Free Check In” option by allowing guests to electronically complete the check in process prior to arrival in an effort to minimize face-to-face contact upon arrival.
  • Additional cleaning measures are in place to ensure disinfection of the kitchen and bathroom areas as well as other high-contact surfaces throughout the unit.
  • Additional disinfection procedures are also in place for common areas and shared spaces at all condo associations managed by TRS.
  • We have our own commercial laundry machines to wash bed linen and towels at the proper temperature for sanitization. Other companies or individual owners may be using the consumer grade washers and dryers within the unit.
  • Upon arrival, we are providing resources and guidelines from the CDC, State of Florida, and Pinellas County.
  • Our cancellation policy has been modified to give peace of mind to all guests staying during 2020 who made a reservation prior to September 30, 2020.

We are welcoming guests at all properties and truly look forward to accommodating you. The warm weather, low-crowds, and beautiful beaches are sure to shed your “stay-at-home blues”!  We also understand that you may not be able to visit right now due to travel restrictions or health concerns, but no worries, we will still be here for whenever you are ready! Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What is your current cancellation policy?

A: For future stays occurring in 2020 that were made before September 30, 2020, our “Book with Confidence” policy applies. This flexible policy allows you to reschedule in the event the COVID-19 outbreak affects your plans. Simply provide at least 72 hour advance notice prior to your scheduled arrival. You can change your dates and transfer full funds to another time in 2020. To request this voucher, please send written cancellation notice to:  reservations@trsinc.com.

Q:  Can I purchase Travel Insurance?

A: Travel Insurance is highly recommended to cover risks such as illness (including coronavirus), hurricanes and other natural disasters, mandatory evacuations due to adverse weather, jury duty, and more. Travel Insurance is offered though Generali / CSA. Note: TRS is unable to sell plans to residents of New York or Hawaii. Guests from these states can contact the travel insurance agency directly.

Q: I have a voucher, what if the cost of my new dates is different than what I originally paid?

A: Many guests are finding that the new reservation is less expensive due to low-season rates or current specials. In this case, we recommend staying longer or choosing an upgraded property! In the event that your new reservation is more expensive, you will be able to reserve today and pay the difference 45 days prior to arrival.  When you are ready to book, feel free to first browse availability at www.trsinc.com then reach out to our Reservations Department so your voucher can be applied.

Q: What if our flight gets cancelled and we are unable to come?

A: It’s best to check directly with your airline regarding potential changes or flight cancellations. Other flight options may be available to you. Our two closest airports are Clearwater/St Pete Airport (PIE) and Tampa International Airport (TPA). In case you are still unable to book new flights at this time, we got you covered under our “Book with Confidence” policy. You will receive a voucher to be used towards a future stay (see cancellation policy listed above).

Q:  Are you currently open and accommodating guests?

A: YES, we are open and available to assist guests with inquires, reservation modifications, check-in, and any other needs!

Q: Are the beaches open?

A: YES, Pinellas county beaches are open. Six-foot social distancing must be followed and no gathering in groups of more than 10 people.

Q: Are facemasks required?

A: Pinellas County passed a mask ordinance requiring facemasks to be worn while indoors at public spaces where six foot spacing cannot be maintained. They do NOT need to be worn while enjoying outdoor activities like the beach, nor do they need to be worn when consuming food or your favorite beverage! Masks are not required for people under the age of 18.   

Q: Are pools open?

A: YES, Pools at our properties are open.

Q: Are restaurants open for dining in? Are they offering pickup or delivery services?

A: YES, most restaurants are open offering dine-in, delivery, and/or pick up options. Indoor seating cannot exceed 50% capacity but outdoor seating is at normal capacity. Physical distancing of at least 6 feet is required both cases and parties cannot be seated in groups of more than 10 people.

Q: Are parks open?

A: Most outdoor parks are open, including the beautiful Fort De Soto Park. Many walking and biking trails are also open throughout the county, including the 38 mile long “Pinellas Trail”.  Theme parks and aquariums are open and operating under special protocol.

Q: What can we do while in the area?

A: Aside from spending time at the beach or poolside, you may enjoy mini-golf, shopping, watersports, botanical gardens, fishing, and much more! Salons and gyms are also open. Check out our visitor guide for a list of suggested places to visit.
