There are dozens of ways to explore the greater Tampa Bay Beach area, and we encourage you to think outside the box on your next coastal Florida vacation with TRS. Regardless if you’re staying at a breathtaking beachfront condo in Madeira Beach or a sunset villa in Redington Shores, you’re always steps from the ocean and unforgettable water adventures. When it comes to St Pete Beach things to do, hitting the ocean sea is atop the list. Give these three exhilarating, obscure watersports a try–you’ll thank us later.
Speed Boat Adventures
Tampa Speed Boat Adventures is quite possibly the most fun you’ll have on your coastal Florida getaway. Get behind the wheel of an authentic speedboat on a guided, narrated tour of the St Petersburg and Tampa area. Spot dolphins, sea turtles, and manatees; learn about the historical significance of the region; and–most importantly–jet your way through the bay area. “You’re the captain” when you choose Tampa Speed Boat Adventures!
EAGLE Parasailing
EAGLE Parasail, a division of Mad Beach Water Sports in lively John’s Pass, has an activity that families can enjoy together. Children five and up can safely parasail behind a speeding boat. These boats are fast enough to hold up to three people at a time in mid-air. Located directly in the center of John’s Pass Village, EAGLE is easily accessible from a number of our John’s Pass properties. Parasailing in our stunning bay should be high on the list of St Pete Beach things to do.
Kayak Fishing Excursions
An obscure sport, yes, but kayak fishing is becoming a recurrent activity among experienced anglers. Regardless of where you’re fishing in the Tampa Bay area, kayak fishing is an exciting way to sneak up on unexpecting schools of fish. JM Snooky Fishing Charters, out of nearby Bradenton, is the only kayak fishing company around, and it’s owner Jason Stock’s preferred way to fish. Guided kayak fishing trips are challenging, rewarding, unique, and utterly breathtaking.
